Stewartstown Railroad Company
Chartered in 1884, and in operation since 1885, come take a ride on one of the last original remaining short lines in the U.S.

Northern Central Railway of York

Operates a steam-powered Civil War theme excursion train out of nearby New Freedom, PA along the Northern Central Railway.

Ma & Pa Preservation Society
Operates the historic Muddy Creek Forks Village and offer motorcar (“speeder”) train rides along a portion of the famous Maryland & Pennsylvania (“Ma & Pa”) Railroad. Just a short drive from Stewartstown.

Strasburg Rail Road Company

Located in the town of Strasburg, Lancaster County, this is the railroad that invented the “heritage” or “tourist” railroad business! It’s the line by which all other heritage railroads are judged.

Here’s where American commercial railroading began! A superlative collection of artifacts from the famed Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.

Baltimore Streetcar Museum
Located on the site of the Maryland & Pennsylvania (“Ma & Pa”) Railroad’s Baltimore terminal this organization operates a fleet of authentic streetcars that actually operated on the streets of Baltimore until 1963.

Great Scale Model Train and Railroad Collectibles Show
One of the larger shows of its kind in the country. Held four times each year at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland.

Walkersville Southern Railroad
Operates excursion trains and a museum along a portion of the former Pennsylvania Railroad’s York & Frederick line. Walkersville is just a few miles north of Frederick, Maryland off of U.S. Route 15.

Western Maryland Railway Historical Society Museum
Located in Union Bridge, Maryland along the former Western Maryland Railway main line (now operated by the Maryland Midland division of Genesee & Wyoming Railroad) in Carroll County, Maryland. The museum is housed in the former WM office building and station.

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad
Operates out of the former Western Maryland Railway station in Cumberland, Maryland along portions of the old Western Maryland and Cumberland & Pennsylvania Railway right-of-way.
